Tudkiya Bhat is a delicious flavourful rice pulao, cooked using spices.
Potatoes are used a lot in Himachal Pradesh Cuisine so it is no wonder that potatoes are used to make this rice.

Tudkiya Bhath flavourful rice pulao

Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Potato - 2
Carrot - 1
Peas - 1/4 cup
Onion - 2
Tomato - 1
Green chili - 3
Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - handful
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 2
Dried mase - 1
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
In a mixer jar, add onions, tomato, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, dried maze and poopy seeds. Grind to smooth paste
Cut the potatoes, add the grinded masala paste too it and marinate for 1 hour
In a pressure cooker, add mustard oil, then add chopped onions, sauté well
Then add marinated potatoes to it and mix, add carrots, peas and sauté everything well
Now add turmeric powder, salt and mix
Add washed 1 cup rice to it and mix
Add 2 cups of water to it and mix, cover and cook for 2 whistle
Once pressure is down, mix and serve hot
