Chhum Han from Indian State Mizoram

This is a very famous vegetarian dish in Mizoram. It is prepared in every household because it’s very easy to make. This dish is just mixed steamed vegetables with tomato and ginger added for flavouring. This dish is served hot with rice. It is very easily available and a convenient option for vegetarians in Mizoram. It is a very nutritional dish made with vegetables like cabbage, carrots, broccoli, etc.

Ingredients: 

  •  Cauliflower - 1/4 cup

  • carrot - 1/4 cup

  • Turnip - 1/4 cup

  • Cabbage - 1 /4 cup

  • Salt - as per taste

  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp

  • Water - 3 cups

Instructions:

  1. Boil water in stock pot, then add all the vegetables to it

  2. Then add salt and pepper powder, mix

  3. Cover and boil until vegetables are cooked

  4. Serve hot
