Also referred to as the Kovakkai Fry in Tamil cuisine, simple yet easy delicious easy preparation by pairing it as a side dish with a comforting dal-rice or curd rice meal.
This dondakaya veggie is most common in Andhra cuisine.
Can make the kids to eat it in the form of snacks too.

Dondakaya Fry | Ivy Gourd Fry

Ivy Gourd - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Gram flour - 1/4 cup
Corn flour - 2 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Groundnut - 1/2 cup
Curry leaves - 1 string
water- as required
Groundnut oil - for fry
Wash the ivy gourd and cut into strips
Now add rice flour, gram flour, corn flour to it
Then add chili powder and salt and mix well
Sprinkle water and coat it
In hot oil, add coated ivy gourd and deep fry it
Now fry groundnut and curry leaves
Now add fried groundnut, curry leaves to fried ivy gourd and mix'
Serve hot with rice
