Fish RECHEADO - Goan

Fish recheado is a Goan dish but the word recheado means stuffed in Portuguese.

Most important, the fish masala should be grinded with toddy vinegar not by water while grinding


LETS GET COOKING:

Fish RECHEADO


Course : Main dish

Prep time : 10 minutes




Process time : 10 minutes




Total time : 20 minutes


Ingredients:

  • Fish(sliced) - 1

  • Byadagi chili - 4

  • Pepper - 1 tsp

  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Coriander seeds - 1 tsp

  • Ginger - 1/2 inch

  • Garlic - 4

  • Cinnamon - 1/2 inch

  • Cloves - 2

  • Toddy Vinegar - 3 tsp

  • Onion(char) - 1

  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

  • Sugar - 1 tsp

  • Salt - 1 tsp

  • Semolina - 3 tsp

Instructions:

  1. Wash the fish well with salt and keep aside

  2. In a bowl add byadagi chili, pepper, cumin, coriander seeds, ginger-garlic, cinnamon, cloves chared onion, turmeric powder, sugar, toddy vinegar and salt, marinate it for 1 hour and grind to fine paste

  3. Apply this paste on fish slices , marinate again for 15 minutes, then coat them in semolina and fry them

  4. Serve hot
