Bhopali Gosh Korma - Madhya Pradesh

It is a dish of Maharajas and Rajas; they mostly prefer it in parties and jashans. The Bhopali Ghost Korma originated from the capital of Madhya Pradesh that is Bhopal. It is made in the spicy gravy of Indian spices and served hot with the butter roti and sliced onions. The dish is very rich in spices; the main thing of the dish is its spiciness.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1/4 cup

  • Onions - 1

  • Bay leave -1

  • Cinnamon - 1/2 inch

  • Clove - 3

  • Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp

  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Star anise - 1

  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

  • Chili powder - 1 tsp

  • Salt - as per taste

  • Water - 1 cup

  • Mustard oil - 2 tsp

Instructions:

  1. In a pan add mustard oil, once hot is heated add sliced onions and sauté it until it turn soft

  2. Add chili powder, turmeric powder, salt to it and saute it again

  3. Add chicken again mix well until masala are coated

  4. In a small cloth, add all the spices and tie like bag

  5. Now add this spice bag to the chicken coated and mix

  6. Pour enough water and mix, then cover and cook until chicken are done

  7. Remove the spice bag and serve
