Makhana Kheer is a creamy Indian pudding made using puffed lotus seeds. It is loaded with nutritional, were this kheer can be feed for babies too. This kheer is served during festival in North Indian. This Kheer is similar to Payasam which is an other dessert served in South India.

Makhana Kheer

Ingredients:
Makhana - 1 cup
Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Chopped nuts - 1/4 cup
Ghee - 1 tsp
Instructions:
In a heavy bottom pan, add ghee, then roast the makhana until it becomes crisp
Transfer into plate, allow them to cool down, then grind them into coarse powder
Now add milk into other pan, bring to boil, then add condensed milk into it and mix and boil for 5 minutes
Add the powdered makhana into the boiling milk and give a mix
Add chopped nuts into it and boil for 5 minutes
Serve warm or chill
