Methi Gaajar(carrot and fenugreek) from state - Haryana

Meethi Gaajar is simple side dish which is done with methi(fenugreek leaves) and Gaajar(carrots).

Best combo with rice and chapathi.

Total time : 30 minutes


Ingredients:

  • Carrots - 3

  • Fenugreek leaves - 1 bunch

  • Cumin seeds - tsp

  • Onion - 1

  • Green chili - 3

  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Salt - ass per taste

  • Oil - 2 tsp

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, add oil, once heated, add cumin seeds, allow it to crackle

  2. Then add chopped onion, green chili, sauté both until soft

  3. Then add chopped carrots to it and sauté it well

  4. Add pepper, turmeric powder & salt as per taste

  5. Add water & cover & cook until carrots are cooked completely

  6. Finally add cleaned & washed fenugreek leaves to it

  7. Sauté & cook for other 5 minutes

  8. Serve hot with rice or chapathi
